In short
Chip Rank organises poker tournaments among friends. It keeps a record of who played, what each person paid and how the standings look — what a spreadsheet would do for the group.
There is no game inside it, no betting and none of the group's money passes through it. The amounts are recorded numbers, and settling up happens between people, outside the app.
Using the app for free is possible and stays that way. Nothing is on sale in this version. When something is, paid plans will be charged by the App Store or Google Play and will renew automatically until you cancel — and if you stop paying, your history stays there to look at: you stop creating new things, you do not lose what you already played.
1.Who publishes the app
Chip Rank is published under the name Cury App Labs, a trading name used by Ulisses Jamil Cury Neto, an individual, in Brazil.

In this document, “we” is Cury App Labs and “you” is the person using the app.
2.Creating an account means accepting these terms
Creating a Chip Rank account means you have read and agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of it, do not create the account — and if you already have, section 10 explains how to delete it.
The minimum age is 18. By creating the account you declare that you are that age. We do not ask for proof: what counts is your declaration. If we identify an account belonging to someone under 18, it will be deleted.
3.What the app is — and what it is not
Chip Rank is a tool for recording and organising. It tracks rounds, buy-ins, rebuys, add-ons, knockouts, points, standings and how much each person owes or has received from the group.
It is not a game, is not a betting house and does not move the group's money:
- there is no playable game inside it — the cards are real, on your own table, and the app only records what happened;
- there is no wager, no prize draw and no outcome of chance that decides money. The app does run a seat draw to spread people across tables, and it decides only where each person sits;
- none of the group's money is charged, transferred, held or intermediated by the app. The paid plans in section 7 are the only charge that exists, and the store is what charges it.
The PIX keys shown in the app are plain text on screen for someone to copy into their own banking app, and they exist only for settling the in-person game between the people in the room. They are never used to buy a plan, a feature or any content of the app — that goes exclusively through the store. Chip Rank never reads, starts or verifies a transfer.
Settling up is between you. The amounts recorded here reflect what the group agreed. If someone does not pay what they owed, that is a matter between the people in the room — we have no way to charge, hold, guarantee or refund anything.
4.Your account
Keep your password secret and do not share it. If you suspect someone got into your account, change the password and let us know: we block access and help recover what we can.
You are answerable for the use you make of your account. We do not answer for you — and you do not answer for unauthorised access caused by a failure on our side.
Each person should have a single account. Creating duplicates to get around a room limit, appear twice in a ranking or dodge a penalty is grounds for us to end your access.
Whoever creates a room is its administrator and sets that room's rules: amounts, scoring, who joins, who is a guest and who receives prizes. Those decisions are theirs, not ours.
5.What you record in the app
The names, amounts, results and notes you type belong to you and your group. We store that content and display it inside the app as described in the Privacy Policy, which sets out who sees what — we do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising.
When you record information about another person (a guest's name, for example), you state that you are allowed to. Do not use the app to offend, expose or embarrass anyone.
6.Permitted use
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Chip Rank on your devices for as long as these terms are in force. Within it, you may not:
- copy, resell, rent out or redistribute the app;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code, except where the law expressly allows it;
- work around plan limits, feature locks or charges;
- use bots or automation to harvest other people's data;
- use the app to run commercial gambling, a betting house or any activity requiring a licence you do not hold.
7.Paid plans and subscriptions
Nothing is on sale in this version. The plans screen describes what each one does, and that is all: there is no purchase button, no price is shown and no charge happens. The rules below take effect when subscriptions are switched on, and we will give notice inside the app before that.
Chip Rank has a free tier that keeps working without payment. Paid plans unlock additional features.
There are two kinds of product, in separate subscription groups:
- Room plans — bought by whoever organises. Each covers a number of rooms and unlocks features inside them.
- My Poker Life — bought by the player, for their own poker record across every room they play in. It covers no rooms and does not affect the organiser's plan.
Because they sit in separate groups, the same person can hold both at once, and changing one does not affect the other.
7.1 Who charges you
Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, and the store is what charges you — never us. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account on confirmation. We neither see nor store card numbers, bank accounts or billing addresses.
7.2 Name, length and price
The plan name, what it unlocks, the period (monthly or yearly) and the price in your currency appear on the purchase screen itself, before you confirm. The store's price is the one that counts — if it differs from anywhere else, what the store shows at the moment of purchase prevails.
7.3 Automatic renewal
The subscription renews by itself for the same period until you turn renewal off. The renewal charge happens within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.
To cancel, turn off automatic renewal in your store account settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. Cancelling does not cut short the period you already paid for: you keep the plan until it ends.
If we ever offer a free trial or an introductory price, its conditions appear on the purchase screen before you confirm. If you subscribe during a free trial, any unused part of that trial is forfeited.
Cancelling happens in the store, not here. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play → your profile → Payments and subscriptions. We have no access to those controls and cannot turn off renewal for you.
7.4 Changing plans
Moving up takes effect immediately, and the store works out the prorated credit for what was left of the previous plan. Moving down is scheduled for the next renewal: you keep the larger plan until then, with no refund of what was already paid. The store does that maths, not us.
7.5 Withdrawal and refunds
You have 7 days to change your mind. Article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code grants a right of withdrawal on purchases made away from business premises — and an app-store purchase is one of them. Within 7 calendar days of the purchase you may withdraw without giving a reason and get back what you paid, monetarily adjusted. Write to us and we will forward it, or ask the store directly.
Outside that window, refunds follow each store's policy. On the App Store the request goes to Apple, which decides — we can neither issue nor deny one there. On Google Play, besides the store's self-service, we are able to review and issue the refund ourselves; write to the contact in section 1.
In every case we hold the receipt (product, transaction and renewal date) and will help you understand the charge.
7.6 What happens when a subscription ends
You do not lose what you already played. When a plan ends or is cancelled, the room stops creating new things — opening a match, building a calendar, using multiple tables or the TV display. Everything that already exists stays available to look at: records, past seasons, standings, prizes and history, with the amounts exactly as they were saved.
The room stays the type you chose when you created it, and the paid features appear with a padlock — they do not vanish from the screen. If you subscribe again, everything comes back as it was.
7.7 How many rooms each plan covers
Each room plan covers a number of rooms, stated on the purchase screen. The subscription belongs to the account, not to a room, and it is what entitles you to that number.
While you are at your plan's limit, creating a new room is refused, with a notice on screen. No room you already have is affected by that: if you have more rooms than the plan covers, all of them stay available to look at, with their full history, and go without the paid features until you subscribe to a larger plan.
8.Complimentary access
We may unlock paid features free of charge, for an indefinite period, for specific rooms or accounts — for testing, partnerships or as a courtesy. Complimentary access is not a sale: it creates no charge, does not renew and can be withdrawn at any time. Withdrawing it has the same effect described in section 7.6: you stop creating new things and keep seeing everything that already exists.
9.Availability, changes and liability
We do what we can to keep the app up and working. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation — no software is free of that — but we answer for defects in the service as the law provides. The statutory warranty under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code applies in full and is not waived by this document.
Chip Rank depends on third-party services (hosting, database, authentication, notifications and the stores themselves). A failure at any of them can make the app temporarily unavailable.
We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If a change reduces what was sold to someone with a subscription in progress, we give notice in advance and you may cancel before the next renewal — and, if you prefer, ask for a proportional refund of the paid period that will not be delivered. A feature advertised on the purchase screen binds what we deliver, as article 30 of the Consumer Protection Code requires.
Do your own maths too. The app records what was typed. A typo by whoever runs the room becomes a wrong number in the standings and in the settlement — check the night's amounts with the group before closing.
10.Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time, inside the app (Profile → Delete account) or through the account deletion page. Deleting the account ends these terms between us.
Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription: renewal continues until you turn it off in the store. Turn it off there before deleting the account.
We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms, particularly sections 4 and 6, or if your use puts other people or the service at risk. We give notice first, explain why and allow a reply, except where immediate suspension is needed to protect someone.
11.Terms required by the stores
11.1 Apple
These terms are an agreement between you and Cury App Labs, not with Apple. Apple is not a party to this agreement. We, and not Apple, are solely responsible for Chip Rank and its content.
Licence. For the App Store version, the licence in section 6 covers use of Chip Rank on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, and as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Maintenance and support. Support is ours alone, at the address in section 1. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish maintenance or support for Chip Rank.
Warranty. Any warranty for the app is ours. If Chip Rank fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any claim, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense arising from a failure to conform to a warranty is our responsibility.
Product claims. We, and not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to Chip Rank, including product liability, failure to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
Intellectual property. If a third party claims that Chip Rank infringes their intellectual property rights, we, and not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
Legal compliance. By using the app you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated by it as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Third-party terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Chip Rank — those of your data plan, for example.
Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. By accepting them, you agree that Apple will have the right — and will be deemed to have accepted that right — to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
11.2 Google
Google is likewise not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or its content. It handles distribution and billing on Google Play, under the Google Play Terms of Service. Any complaint about how Chip Rank works should come to us, through the contact in section 1.
12.Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, including the Consumer Protection Code and the LGPD.
Before taking any legal step, write to curyapplabs@gmail.com — most questions get sorted out there. If court proceedings are still needed, you may bring them in the courts of your own place of residence, as Brazilian law provides.
13.Changes to these terms
If we change anything material, we update the date at the top of this page and give notice inside the app before the change takes effect. The version published here is always the one that counts. If you do not agree with the new version, you can delete your account as described in section 10 and cancel the subscription in the store.
A price rise is never automatic. If the price of a subscription in progress goes up, the store asks for your confirmation, and without it the subscription simply does not renew.
