How to do it
- Open Chip Rank and sign in.
- Tap Profile in the bottom bar.
- Scroll to My account and tap Delete my account.
- Type your @username to confirm it's you — and your password, if your account has one. It is a guard against a stray tap, since there is no going back. People who sign in with Apple or Google have no password in Chip Rank: in that case the app asks only for the @username.
You can also do all of this in a browser, at the same address as the app:
If you cannot sign in, write to curyapplabs@gmail.com from your registered email address and we will delete it for you.
What is erased immediately
- Your login and your password.
- Email, phone, date of birth, username and profile photo.
- Your whole dealer registration, if you have one: CPF (Brazilian taxpayer ID), face photo, ID document photo and the selfie holding it.
- Your devices' notification tokens — the app stops sending you alerts.
- Your membership of the rooms: you leave the member list and your attendance confirmations are removed.
What stays with the rooms
The history of the rounds you have already played remains: it is the collective result of that championship and of other people's accounts. Erasing it would change the ranking and the settling-up of everyone who remains.
On the deletion screen you choose how your name appears in that history. The box starts unticked: by default your name is swapped for an anonymous identifier and the results stop pointing to you. If you would rather the room still knew who played, just tick the box.
After deletion
Deletion is immediate and final — there is no waiting period and no undo. You can create a new account afterwards, but it starts from scratch: we cannot recover what was deleted.
One caveat, so that we do not promise more than is true: the backups the server took before the deletion still contain your data, until they are replaced by newer ones. They are not visible to anyone inside the app and exist only to restore the database after a failure.
